Towner County Medical Center

TOWNER COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER RECEIVES GRANT FROM IMPACT FOUNDATION

Towner County Medical Center (TCMC) has received a grant in the amount of $10,000 from Impact Foundation to support the Board of Directors and Administration to complete an organizational financial analysis and Board training.

Towner County Medical Center continually strives to provide the highest level of healthcare needed by the citizens of Towner County.  Towner County Medical Center consists of a rural health clinic in Cando, a medical clinic in Devils Lake, and a 20 bed Critical Access Hospital with a Level V trauma center in Cando.  TCMC also includes 10 units of Senior Independent Living Housing, a 10 bed Basic Care Residential Facility and a 40 bed Skilled Nursing Home in Cando.  A leased dental practice is located in the medical center in Cando.  Towner County Medical Center also has a child day care center on site.

"This grant will aid the board and administration as they continue to make decisions on how to best use our resources and which services are appropriate for TCMC to provide going into the future" stated Jac McTaggart, Chief Executive Officer of TCMC.

Impact Foundation, with support from the Dakota Medical Foundation and Alex Stern Family Foundation, was launched in 2004 to build the capacity of nonprofits, businesses and individuals to maximize their societal impact.  Impact is partnering with the Bush Foundation to provide training, technical assistance and resources to nonprofits throughout the region.  Over 300 nonprofits have participated in the Impact Institute's capacity building programs, and over $3.2 million has been donated to nonprofits through
www.impactgiveback.org.
